Diane E. Lindmark was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is the youngest of four children. Her father was an aeronautical engineer, so as a child she moved around a lot, but has spent the majority of her life in Texas and has always considered herself a native San Antonio girl, though she has resided in Arlington, Texas since 2008. She was home schooled through high school and has always longed to be a writer, but being severely dyslexic, she thought this an impossible feat, so she pursued other avenues of work. In 2002 she became a mother for the first time and has since had two other children.
In 2010, she married a wonderful man who encouraged her to pursue her dream of being a writer by buying her a talk to text software program, and on July 20, 2014, she sat down and began writing A Solitary Stone, which was completed in 91 days. Diane published her first book in September 2015. She has since published 34 books, including 4 series. A Solitary Stone is Book 1 of the Stone Wall Trilogy and has published 10 more Stone Universe books. She also now has Safe Haven, Book 1 of the McLoughlin Family, a Western Series, and includes a 2 book spin-off, Corruption or Luck and Storm Bringer, and The Christmas Hitchhiker, book 1 of the Cross Family, a Christmas inspirational series, and has 4 sequels, along with 3 companion books, The Games We Play, and Dukes and Plumbers with its sequel, Bjorn in America.
