Texas World Records*

LSF25 will be a fun event for everyone, but we want to make it even more enjoyable and world breaking.

We are in the works to try and break five world records on that weekend.

Saturday, June 7, 2025 we hope to create the World Record for:

Most authors reading consecutively from their books - The most authors reading consecutively is 111, at the Irish Writers' Centre, Dublin, Ireland, on 15-16 June 2012. The 111 writers, including Nobel Prize Laureate Seamus Heaney and Booker Prize winner Roddy Doyle, read from their work in slots of 15 minutes each over 28 continuous hours before an aggregate audience of 1,280. The event was also streamed live over the internet without interruption.

On Sunday, June 8, 2025, we would like to break the world record for the following:

Most Indie Authors Gathered in One Place

Most Black Authors Gathered in One Place

Most Hispanic/LatinX Authors Gathered in One Place

Most Female Authors Gathered in One Place

Most Male Authors Gathered in One Place

*Guinness World Records, is currently not associated with this program.  We must pay a fee for each record.  Until the fee $25,000 is paid, they are NOT officially associated with this event.

The one-time cost for non-TAIH members is $50 per author.  This helps us cover the cost for renting space, Guinness fees, and much more.

We will have a full detail package that authors will get listed soon.

You can pay your registration fee here.

June 2026

Largest donation of books in 24 hours – the minimum requirement is 274,325 total number of books.

This event is scheduled to coincide with the Texas Authors Fall Jubilee. The 2026 event will be held at Barton Creek Mall. Due to limited space, we can only accommodate 45 authors at this event.
