As we approach 2025, the Texas Authors Museum & Institute of History (TAMIH) is poised to offer a dynamic array of events and programs aimed at celebrating and empowering Texas authors. Here's a glimpse into what's on the horizon:
Lone Star Festival 2025
Scheduled for June 7 and 8, 2025, in Austin, the 4th Lone Star Festival will bring together Texas creatives, including authors, musicians, artists, and filmmakers. This two-day event offers a platform for networking, showcasing talents, and engaging with the community. Authors interested in participating can secure their spot with a deposit, with the total vendor cost set at $225.
Y’all Write Program & Contest
Launching in March 2025, the Y’all Write Program & Contest encourages Texas writers of all ages to craft a 50,000-word novel within 30 days. This initiative aims to foster creativity and perseverance among writers. Participants will receive a free eBook, "Y’all Write: A Month of Writing Celebration and Growth!" to support their journey. Submissions are due by April 5, 2025, with top entries reviewed by a panel of professionals and the public invited to vote on finalists.
Texas Authors Fall Jubilee
Set for October 4 and 5, 2025, at the Barton Creek Center in Austin, the Texas Authors Fall Jubilee coincides with the Texas World Record Book Donation Weekend. This event celebrates Texas authors and promotes literacy across the state.
