2024 Lone Star Book Emporium Award
Copperfield Books
Copperfield Books is based in the North Houston community of Spring. Wife and Husband team, Tiffany and Shawn Smith created a place where readers can find new and old books. It is their annual book festival, and author signings that put Copperfield’s above the normal bookstore. For the past three years, Copperfield has been home to an annual book festival for Texas Authors, which brings the community together to discover great authors and their books.

The Houston Writers Guild, has worked hard over the past 10 years, spotlighting reading programs and writing programs. They are awarded the “Outstanding Texas Non-Profit Award for Literacy”. Victoria Quinn
Victoria Quinn is part of a family affected by a drunk driver, which led her to dedicate her time to supporting, and actively educating families through the community. She has spoken at seminars, and workshops, and worked one-on-one with individuals. Victoria has built awareness for families by providing educated knowledge-based programs and resources. She has written a book “Face of Deception” to reach a broader spectrum through faith, hope, and inspiration. Throughout her time of service to the community, she has had an opportunity to become a role model and mentor, guiding people with empathy and respect. Among her various commitments, Victoria has collaborated with MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) organization and with other authors. As she continues her endeavors, she feels it is important to build a stronger thriving community that benefits the people around her.
